Recently, there have been two exciting provincial government announcements related to life for newcomers to Northwest BC.

Province funds critical infrastructure projects in the northwest and upgrades secure drinking water system in Prince Rupert.

The District of Kitimat is exploring a potential climbing wall for Riverlodge Recreation Centre! Aimed at amping up indoor activities, this project is seeking community input through upcoming surveys and public consultations.

At this year's BC Economic Development Awards, the Northwest BC Workforce Resident Attraction initiative (WARA) was awarded the Marketing Innovation Award (in the over-20,000 population category) from The British Columbia Economic Development Association (BCEDA) annual awards ceremony.
